Talk English works like an online English guide for students who need to know what (and how) to say in specific situations. Warning: it only works with Internet Explorer and you need to register (free). With several hundreds of phrases and dialogs in audio, one of the coolest things is that the lesson index is very well organized making it really easy to find what you’re looking for.

You’ll find stuff for all kinds of situations: shopping, meeting the girlfriend’s parents, calling in sick, catching a cold and so on. Audio English: travel and business English for listening practice

Audio English claims to be the largest English-teaching site in the world with 150,000 pages and 2,500 audio files (!) You could listen to a different one every day for about… 6, 7 years!? Anyway, the site offers conversations in audio with the corresponding text too. Audio English

Although it’s necessary to pay for site-wide access (US$ 49 for three months), there are probably over a hundred audio lessons freely available. Just pick your topic on the top menu (English for Beginners, Practical English, Telephone English, etc) and look for the free files - they’re always at the top of the list of results.

One thing that’s great about this website is that there are really specific sections such as Travel, Banking and Accounting. In the pronunciation area, several words and expressions come with an individual audio file. Recommended for basic and intermediate English students.

Business English mini-course at BBC

business English course at BBC BBC offers a business English mini-course for students who already have basic English skills and would like to practice speaking in travel / business situations. 

The course has 10 units (or ?days?) in total, and for each day you can choose the good day route (where things go well), the bad day route (things go wrong), or both.

So after you get started, you’ll get to practice with video, audio, conversation and vocabulary. For every step of the course, it is suggested that you listen to the audio before reading the text. Read the introduction (in the homepage) first to understand how to navigate through the course.
